"May 4,2023 was my first official day with a new brokerage. Changing brokerages is certainly commonplace in this industry but there was something very different about this move for me. After spending almost my entire career with large national brokerages I decided to make a move to a smaller firm. As we all know real estate is a local business and I thought moving to a local company to focus on local business might just be a good idea.
I was right and Fox & Riley is the right fit for me. The level of support I received during my transition was so over the top it took some getting used to, sounds funny I know. That support didn't end with the end of my transition either, it continues to this day.
All the big companies like to brag about their database management systems and marketing tools they make available to their agents. Fox & Riley made that a non-issue too.
I have done a fair amount of relocation business over the years as well and right out of the gate I received my first relo opportunity.
All of the above are the big ticket items agents consider when they are considering a move. Above all of that for me though is the way I feel when I'm in the office on any given day or for a meeting. In no time at all I felt welcome by everyone. I feel like I'm part of a special group of people where each one of us counts and makes a difference which is something that is lost with the large nationwide brokerages that are often run from out of state, don't have the pulse of local markets and focus too much on bean counting and not enough on people."
